Whitman County VSP Work Group met to approve the VSP budget through June 2025. Conservation districts gave updates on VSP reporting and cost share project progress. All items were approved. The work group expressed a desire to update promotional materials and the website.

The VSP work group formally adopted a Work Group Succession Plan. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing and approving the VSP Monitoring Plan. While the VSP budget was discussed, its approval was deferred to a future meeting to allow for clarification of figures, including the incorporation of carryover funds. The meeting also included announcements for upcoming soil health events.

Key agenda items included advancing the VSP project scoring and ranking criteria. Additionally, Gerrit Bass from the Palouse Conservation District led a discussion on the development of the VSP monitoring plan, with a focus on utilizing existing data and addressing state guidelines within current funding realities.
