Whitman County has designated the Palouse Conservation District as the lead entity responsible for managing the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP). In this capacity, the Palouse Conservation District will collaborate with co-lead entities, including the Whitman, Rock Lake, and Pine Creek Conservation Districts, to implement the Whitman County VSP Work Plan.

Interested landowners have the opportunity to voluntarily engage with the Conservation Districts or agricultural groups such as the Whitman County Cattlemen's Association, Washington Farm Bureau, and the Washington Association of Wheat Growers.

This engagement can involve accessing technical assistance or utilizing the Whitman County VSP Checklist for self-reporting completed practices and identifying future stewardship strategies and practices relevant to their farm or ranching operations.
